More than 500 animals make their home at the Great Plains Zoo, including black rhinos, reticulated giraffes, an Amur tiger and a cheetah. Families with children can take a break with a short miniature train ride around the park or with a ride on the carousel, both open during the summer months. The zoo is part of Sherman Park in western Sioux Falls, which also houses the Delbridge Museum of Natural History.
